Hello Yavapai County High School students and families- here is an important message from the construction crew who are working near the high school. It involves instructions for parking changes starting next week, Monday, September 18th: Crews will be paving Baja Circle on Monday and they would like students and staff to park on the construction road (the one that was previously used but has been blocked for a week or so) and then walk in from there. The lot on the east side is starting to be developed and is not an option. If you have any questions, please call the school at 928 759 8126. Thank you!

Greetings YASD families! Returning YASD students were sent home with a Re-enrollment Packet last week. These packets need to be signed and returned as soon as possible. Keep in mind, every page in the packet requires a signature. If your student needs another packet, he or she can get one from the school. Again, please return the re-enrollment forms as soon as possible. And to our YASD students: you have been INCREDIBLE so far this year. We are lucky to call you "our kids". We appreciate you so much. We are off to a great start! We all make a great team. Here's to a wonderful school year!

Hello YASD families! YCHS students and parents -- There is still significant construction going on around our Prescott Valley Campus at Yavapai County High School. Please follow these instructions to get to our parking lot and school: Drive into the "construction access only" area and follow the construction signs. This is a dirt road labeled "Construction entrance only". You have permission to enter here! Follow the dirt area/road in front of the school that connects to Baja Circle. Please keep the speed down to 5 miles per hour as there are a lot of people working in that area and we want to be sure everyone is safe. If you run into issues or a problem, please call Dr. Burns at 928 759 8126 so she can help get it resolved. We are sorry for the inconvenience but will work together to ensure our students can get to our school safely.

Greetings YASD families! We have an exciting new opportunity in line for our students called the Student Outing Experience! We are partnering with many businesses in our community to offer students a firsthand glimpse into many jobs and careers in our community! Several of these businesses have already confirmed their partnership! Please visit our website at https://www.yavapaicountyhighschool.com and scroll down to the EVENTS section. Click on "See All Events", then "List View" on the right and "Aug" to look at what is offered at this time. Each outing will have very limited openings, up to 6 students at a time. All Events dated "Aug 1" do not have confirmed dates at this time so August 1st is NOT the correct date. Check back frequently for updates to added events and confirmed dates. Students must apply for each outing. That application link is provided in the description of each outing. I will be adding many more events as soon as I get confirmation from other business partners in our community. Thank you to the parents who have reached out with suggestions! Exciting times at the Yavapai Accommodation School District! Let's help you find your path after graduation! Your possibilities are ENDLESS!

Greetings YASD parents and students! I am working really hard on a new project for our students that will expose them to a variety of jobs and careers in our area. This will include a variety of jobs that require high school diplomas up to college degrees. I would LOVE to hear from you if you have any suggestions, requests or ideas. What interests you? What interests your student? What passions might they have that can develop into a career? I would like to focus on jobs and careers that our students find interesting and fulfilling! If you have ideas, please email me at kburns@yavapaicountyhs.org or call the school at 928 759 8126. I hope you are having a wonderful summer! We will see you again in August! Sincerely, Dr. Burns.

Our school recently received a large donation of used but high quality small and medium men's clothing. Most are in excellent shape - some even brand new! Jeans sized 30x32, shorts, shirts and sweatshirts. If you are a student in need or have a family member in need that would fit into these sizes, please call the school at 928 759 8126 or email Dr. Burns at kburns@yavapaicountyhs.org. I hope your summer is off to a great start!

Greetings YASD families! This is a reminder. Tomorrow, April 17th is a school day. It was originally scheduled as a snow make up day and since we have had so many snow days this year, tomorrow is a student attendance day! We will see you tomorrow!

Good morning YASD families! Today will be another snow day! There is no school today, Thursday, March 2, 2023. Stay safe and warm. Again, no school today, Thursday, March 2nd for all Yavapai Accommodation School District schools!

Hello again Yavapai Accommodation School District families! Okay, this time we are fairly certain there is snow on the ground - and a lot of it! At this time we are calling for a 2-hour delay tomorrow, March 2nd. There is a slight chance tomorrow's delay will turn into a full cancellation but Mother Nature seems to have a sense of humor so we are going to wait until tomorrow to make that decision. For now, all of our schools at the Yavapai Accommodation School District are on a 2-hour delay tomorrow, Thursday March 2nd. Stay tuned for more updates should we have to cancel. Stay warm!

Greetings Yavapai Accommodation School District families. Due to the current conditions and upcoming treacherous forecast in the next several hours, we are making the very difficult decision to cancel school today. There will be no school today, Wednesday, March 1st for all schools in our district. Please stay safe and we hope to see you tomorrow. Again, no school today, Wednesday, March 1st for all YASD schools.

Greetings YASD students, families and staff! Our schools will be operating on a normal schedule again today. Our afternoon class schedule may change depending on upcoming weather predictions but we will make that decision later in the day. Chino Valley will NOT be operating their buses this morning due to their announced closure. Students who ride the Chino Valley bus and are in need of transportation should call 928 241 0572 so we can make other arrangements for you! Again - normal schedule today with the possibility of our afternoon session scheduling changing! Is anyone else sick if winter yet?
almost 2 years ago, Kellie Burns
Greeting YASD students and families! Our schools will be operating on a REGULAR SCHEDULE today. However, students who live in areas having less than satisfactory conditions will not be penalized for lateness up to 2 hours! Families do not need to call to report their student late. We will simply cont them as present as long as they arrive in the two hour late admittance time frame. Again, YASD is operating on a regular schedule but we will not count students late up to two hours.
